Monitoring Events
************************************************************

To monitor alerts from remote facial recognition systems, navigate to the :guilabel:`Monitoring Events` tab on the application menu. If a server is running and properly configured the green status will be displayed on drawer icon |icon_drawer|. When a new event occurs, an audio alert is triggered.

A notification contains the following information:

* normalized object image 
* record that was turned on remote alerts 
* record name 
* similarity between matched objects 
* watch list(s) 
* detection date and time 
* cameras 


View Events
========================

In order to navigate to an event ticket from the list of monitoring events to view the detailed information, tap the remote alerting result in a notification.

An event ticket contains the same data as a relevant :ref:`notification <event_list>` and the additional data:

* full frame
* reason 
* source
* ID

It also allows for acknowledging the event. By default, all events are not accepted. Tap :guilabel:`Acknowledge` to change the event acknowledgment status to :guilabel:`Acknowledged`.

.. _bg_notifications:

New Events Notifications in the Background Mode
============================================================

Even if the application is running in the background, you will continue to get notifications about monitoring events. Background mode is activated immediately once you minimize the application. The time counter indicates that events continue to arrive. If a new monitoring event occurs, the application displays a notification that includes a thumbnail and an ID of the matching object.

Tapping the notification will open the monitoring events list in the application.
